Vol 04
Last week, Aeir and websessions.co presented Olfactory Intelligence at Capsule Plaza 2026 in Milan.
Aeir is the fragrance arm of Nuova Group, a multidisciplinary design studio based in Venice Beach. Their fragrances are Extrait Molecular™ de Parfum, built on bioconversion: sugar turned into scent through fermentation, alcohol made from CO2. Engineered in New York, carbon neutral, IFRA certified.

What I enjoy the most about working with Nuova is the incessant questioning about process. Leading with “What if” pushes us toward a world where no compromise is made to deliver the experience we’re actually after.
While designing the interface for the perfume customizer, we noticed how much it was getting in the way of having people express their memories. We decided to completely reduce our interface to the point where we would just lead with conversation.
Monica is a conversational, voice-to-voice AI concierge trained as an expert perfumer. You talk to her about a recent moment, something special you’d like to carry with you. Customization, account creation, checkout, it all happens through voice. We think of it as experiential e-commerce. What you walk away with is a memory you can hold, smell, and share.
Going into Milan Design Week, we believed in the concept. But seeing people’s reactions truly humbled us.
All week, people walked up to Monica and just opened up — sharing memories they'd like to wear, which took them to special places and moments. Laughed, cried, stood there quiet reliving something they still carry with them. What surprised most people was the idea itself — that a memory could become something you wear.
Wearing your memories — that’s universal luxury to us. Being able to carry your most cherished moments with you is what drives us forward, especially since scent is the sense closest to memory.
We're deeply thankful to everyone who came through Capsule Plaza, and I look forward to keeping you all posted on our Olfactory Intelligence journey.
